After further medical education in London and Oxford I chose Cardiology as my main specialty within general internal medicine. My training took place at St George’s Hospital London and later at Harefield Hospital with a year out learning coronary intervention in New Zealand.

I have been a Consultant at Northampton since July 2006, and an Honorary Interventional Cardiologist at Harefield Hospital until 2016 taking part in the Primary PCI rota. As well as my clinical work I have a strong interest in medical education.

Why Heart of England?

I am lucky to live in an old ironstone house in a village between Daventry and Towcester with my husband – also a Cardiologist – four springer spaniels, chickens and a fluffy white cat. I love the surrounding countryside, villages and towns – it really feels like the Heart of England. That heart comes from my patients who also choose to live and work here.

I am the only Cardiologist consulting at Danetre Hospital allowing those patients who live in the area to be seen nearer their home. I’m pleased to announce that my private consultations will now also be taking place locally at Weedon Surgery.
